This report seeks to explore the evolution and impact of the PLV system in India, including its historical origins, structural development, and the critical role played by PLVs in advancing justice for vulnerable communities. Through this effort, it aspires to contribute to the broader discourse on legal empowerment and access to justice, both within India and globally, while addressing systemic challenges to build a more efficient and equitable justice system.
